Hello, church family and friends! This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Even in times like these, rejoice.
As we continue to learn and live through COVID-19 Coronavirus, our usual Sunday morning worship gatherings at St. Paul in Double Bayou Community and St. James in the inner city of Anahuac have been suspended until further notice. This decision was not easy. It came through much prayer, collaborations with the Bishop, District Superintendent, Health authorities at Methodist Hospital, and the calling to share God’s love in such a time as this. This decision unites us working with others in faith, love, and hope to protect those at high risk and reduce the spread of this virus.
A lot of information is out there, some true and some not, but still keep informed about this virus. I recommend frequently monitoring of the website for the Center of Disease Control.
By faith in God the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, we enter a new level of worship. Check out the website at stpauldoublebayou.com and the Facebook of St. James for worship online. Let us embrace what God has provided which proves that nothing can separate us from the love of God. Glory to God!
The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;
The Lord lifts up his countenance upon you and gives you peace.
In the love of Christ,
